The @FunCityGal aka Renee’ Groskreutz
I’ve been looking through rose-colored glasses my whole life – and purples, oranges, blues, silvers, polka dots and myriad other colors. My shiny optimism casts a colorful glow on every creative opportunity that crosses my path. My desire growing up was to draw, and as soon as I was old enough to understand what that meant and still earn a living, I pursued an education and career in drafting.
My first foray at going into creative business for myself was a joint venture in acrylic and oil painting on canvas with my best friend back in 2003. We began to collaborate on paintings, and then each of us would diverge into our own – mine were often combinations of poetry/writing mingled with the paint. We sold our art on an eBay store, and our goals were to make enough money to pay for supplies, go out and eat tacos together, and eventually go on Oprah to talk about our humble beginnings and ultimate million-dollar success. We did at least get to go out for tacos every once in a while.
Writing, painting, beading and crocheting have been major parts of my passionate life for years. My FunCity compadres and clients agree that while web design is the newest feather in my creative cap, my style and flair are evident.
